Summer Camps 2024

Ukulele Camp:

"Camp Wiwo'ole (Camp Adventure)"

Come learn the Soprano Ukulele, with a Hawaiian theme, and help us create a fun end-of-week show. We might just add a few other instruments of color to enhance our sound! We will learn about tuning, instrument care, basic chords, famous musicians, sing songs, play games, play outside, and show off to family at the end of the week. Camp cost includes a fun student instrument to keep, or students can bring their own!
- Camp includes: Camp T-shirt, drawstring backpack, daily snack, instrument pack* with soprano ukulele and cover bag.
- Cost: $250. Minimum registration* of $50 needed to secure a spot, with balance due by first day of camp.
- June 10-13 or July 15-19

Recorder Camp:

"Renaissance Recorder"

Come learn Sopranino, Soprano, Alto, or Bass Recorder, or come learn it better. We will learn about performance technique, notes, how to play in an ensemble, (a group of recorders and possible other instruments too!), the history of the instrument, famous players, and the different types of recorders. Camp cost includes a fun color instrument for the summer, but students may bring their own if they choose.
- Camp includes: Camp T-shirt, drawstring backpack, daily snack, and instrument pack* with a soprano recorder and cover bag, method book and CD for home use, neck strap with earned badges, wrist band, and table top music stand.
- Cost: $235. Minimum registration* of $50 needed to secure a spot, with balance due by first day of camp.
- June 17-20 or July 22-25

Percussion Camp:

"Character Commotion"

We'll "drum" up plenty of fun as we explore a variety of non-traditional items that can be used to make fun steady beat and rhythmic sounds. There will be a commotion in the kitchen, and exploration of African character mantras through drumming. Students will also get plenty of exercise with yoga ball "cardio drumming" on their take-home kits. We'll learn about different types of percussion instruments, and famous performers and drumlines, but mostly we will explore how almost anything can be a drum!
- Camp includes: Camp T-shirt, drawstring backpack, daily snack, and instrument pack* of a 5 gallon bucket, yoga ball, and drum sticks.
- Cost: $235. Minimum registration* of $50 needed to secure a spot, with balance due by first day of camp.

About Summer Camps!

Week-long instrumental camps for young musicians for Summer! Summer is great time for us to break away from traditional learning and have pure fun learning new and exciting musical concepts we don't always get time for in the school year. Hang out with friends, and meet new ones, and "Come play to learn, and learn to play" something new!

Come learn fun music concepts, play games, play outside, and create music, all while working towards a fun end-of-week performance! These camps are great for spicing up your child's summer routine, or for the parent needing some daycare, or the grandparent entertaining kids for the summer.

* Registration fee covers instrument pack purchases. This fee is non-refundable. Camp balance is only refundable until start of camp. Camp is not pro-rated if you are absent any days. Registrations are due 2 weeks prior to start of camp, otherwise home instrument packs cannot be guaranteed for late arrivals.
