There are so many styles of music to love, songs to sing, instruments to play, and sounds to dance to.  Music is like a candy shop to me- there is so much to choose from!

Shannon started her music journey learning to love music from the music her parents loved.  Her parents were always playing recordings, and her mom was also a pianist.  Like most other students, her love of music grew from the great teachings of school music teachers.  She began band and choir as a young child, and continued all the way through college.  She has performed in many groups, and toured many places, and met many wonderful people.  She has made music her lifelong companion and feels she can musically express herself by playing a myriad of fun instruments and styles, to fit her mood.  She wants others to have all these same fun experiences!

As a Licensed Music Educator in public school and individual programs, Shannon has taught general music classes, band and choir, music and movement classes, and private lessons.  She has also intermittently taught at her own studio since 2000.

Shannon studied Flute Performance at the University of Nevada, Reno, and has performed both as a soloist and as a member of various groups for over 30 years. For the past 10 years in this community, she has performed as a member of the Centennial Community Band, and the Minnesota Saints Chorale and Orchestra as well as served as assistant conductor as needed. She has been featured as a soloist on the flute, pennywhistle, and recorder.
